New range of Sony mobiles has been announced, the Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance at MWC 2016 media event in Barcelona. One of which targets high-end hardware key features and another with mid-range. Both the handsets carry a powerful and everlasting inclusions to grab the smartphone market share in the future. To compete with the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, alongside the LG’s G5 modular smartphone, Sony has introduced three of its Xperia X series device. Features and Specifications:

Starting with the Xperia XA details, which has a 5-inch HD curved glass edge-to-edge display, is powered by an Octa-Core (4 x 2.0GHz + 4 x 1.0GHz ) MediaTek P10 (MT6755) processor. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a camera of 13MP Hybrid Auto-Focus sensor on its back with LED flash, 1/3” IMX258 Exmos RS, 1080p video recording. and flaunts an 8MP front-facing shooter with Sony IMX219 Exmor R sensor, 88-degree wide-angle lens.

The Xperia XA will be available in both the single and dual-SIM options also supports 4G LTE connectivity. Paired with 2GB of RAM, has an inernal storage of 16GB and further expandable up to 200GB microSD card. It also offers WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC options. It packs a 2300 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.

Now that speaking about the Xperia X Performance, it has a 5-inch FullHD (1920x1080px) Triliminos Display. Under the hood of the gadget, you will find a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 64-bit 14nm processor with Adreno 530 GPU. With 3GB of RAM, the X Performance also includes a 32GB of storage, which supports up to 200GB SD-cards. On software front, this devices also comes with Android Marshmallow, fingerprint sensor on the power button and a fully integrated DSSE HX, LDAC, Digital Noise Cancelling features. It has an optional Dual SIM function and supports LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC. It is backed by a 2700mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.


Most important feature to note on this Xperia X Performance would be its 23MP Predictive Hybrid Autofocus camera, lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion and capture the action in perfect focus, free from blur, that uses an Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 sensor to record 1080p HD videos. While the secondary 13MP front-facning camera comes equipped with 1/3” Exmor™ RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens capable of 1080p video recording.
