The OnePlus 2 smartphone is the most anticipated upcoming smartphone from OnePlus, ready to debut on July 28th of the month in India, next week at a virtual reality show. But the company’s custom made cardboard VR headsets went out of stock within hours in India, and now thinking about how to watch the OnePlus 2 launch event without wearing a cardboard VR heads on. Nevertheless, OnePlus has announced that for all of those who have missed to purchase a headset will be able to follow the event without wearing one on your head.
The company is launching an app, where it will stream the launch event. OnePlus claims that a cardboard-free 360 experience is also built into the application for everyone to watch it, witness with or without a Cardboard VR headset.
This is what the company said at their blog post, “If you missed out on our Cardboard giveaway, you can try making your own or buying one from somewhere else. But if you simply find yourself Cardboard-less on July 27th, don’t despair! We’ve also built a Cardboard-free 360 experience, right into our launch app. It won’t be as immersive, but it will still be interactive and amazing.”
The launch event in India is scheduled to start at 7:30 AM on July 28. The OnePlus 2 has been confmd to have an optimized version of specs. OnePlus will be also introducing a new invite system that would be easier to get, due to relatively larger inventory they’re preparing ahead of launch. Specs on the phone, you can see an mproved version of Snapdragon 810 v2.1 CPU, USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor, 4GB RAM, 3300mAh battery, faster LTE support and a dual-SIM card as well. With a 5.5-inch FullHD (1080p) display, the OnePlus 2 claims to have a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus and a 5MP front camera with flash. Price for the OnePlus 2 will be between $320 and $450, confirmed by the company itself.
