Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 Goes Official With 13MP Camera, Android 5.1 Lollipop

Just few hours ago Lenovo has launched Vibe Shot as its camera-centric smartphone  and already went on for pre-order, and following the announcement, Alcatel OneTouch is definitely not one of the most prominent smartphone OEMs out there, but the company has been rather consistent lately. Teased the arrival of their Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 smartphone at the end of last month, announcing that it will be arriving on September 22nd.. and finally hits the store shelves, today. The company behind this introduction has also revealed where it will be available at first and foremost. More deatils can be grabbed right below.

The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 as its name suggests, is a camera-focused smartphone, which is a mid-range handset that sports a 5-inch 720p HD display with a pixel density of 294ppi. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit Octao-Core 1.3GHz processor with Mali-T720 GPU for better graphics. Of course, it is paired with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 16GB of internal storage and further it can be expandable up to 128GB using microSD card.

Photography department on the OneTouch Flash 2 packs a 13-megapixel with 80-degree wide-angle camera with dual tone dual LED flash from Samsung’s S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens with blue glass optical filter, PDAF on its back, and the front-facing Selfie shooter goes with 5-megapixel OV5648 1/4” sensor, f/2.2 aperture and soft LED flash.

The dual-SIM OneTouch Flash 2 offers  LTE (FDD-LTE nad TDD-LTE both supported) connectivity as well, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this phone,  which is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

Other hardware specs continues with a curved back and contoured sides that will fit in your hand perfectly, as the company says. As far as the design goes, this is a rather interesting looking handset. It might not have the thinnest bezels around, but its design is interesting. It has three capacitive buttons below the display, and the middle one is also the biggest one. It has a dedicated shutter button on-board, and all of its physical buttons are placed on the right-hand side of this device.

The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 is available in Mica White and Volcano Grey color options. The device will go on sale in Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia starting from this month through Lazada, an online retailer.
