Apple To Introduce New Macs At October 27 Event, 2016 MacBook Pro On Track With USB-C And Thunderbolt 3

A new report has surfaced suggesting the latest MacBook is on its way, and Apple is still on track with plans to introduce new MacBook Pro machines this month. New Macs will receive a refresh at the event which will be held “at or near” Apple’s Cupertino campus instead o in San Fransisco.

On Thursday, October 27 date, suggesting the launch of 2016 MacBook Pro range will perhaps be shown at the company’s Town Hall conference center.

There’s been a lot of talk about Apple and its range of MacBooks recently, which the company is expected widely to make a Mac related announcement sooner than later, for those individual show have been waiting to purchase some new Apple hardware like iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, MacBook Pro now.

New MacBook Pro models will likely to headline the event and the first thing to point out here is that we always expected a new MacBook Pro range to be unveiled this month. With this new report comes in frm a publication which has a hit-and-miss track record when it comes to speculating Apple releases. This Mac-related report cites those always available “reliable Chinese” suppliers, this time claiming that Apple is not only going to unveil a new MacBook Pro line this month, but that hardware will also make it into the hands and inventories of retailers for sale.

This report also continues to push a hardware setup and said the new MacBook Pro to include a redesigned, thinner body with a flatter MacBook-style keyboard, an OLED touch panel that replaces the physical function keys at the top of the board, an Touch ID support. Connectivity offers for USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 is expected, with Apple entirely making its decision into a brave new world by ditching support for MagSafe and Thunderbolt 2, as well as losing those traditional USB ports (USB-A, HDMI and SD card slot).

Future hardware will support Thunderbolt 3 in addition to USB 3.1
In addition to this, Apple’s 2016 MacBook Pro range is also expected to feature an OLED touch bar, while integrating Touch ID sensor into the power button for biometric security concerns. However, the same report also attempts to delve into the potential future of the MacBook Air model by suggesting that the company will discontinue the 11-inch Air model, but keep the 13-inch model active.

The new focus on the Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air appears to be driven by the existence of the new 12-inch MacBook range, prompting Apple to do the 11-inch Air model, and allow that MacBook to take over the line.

Other products that could potentially see refreshes include the iMac, the Mac Pro and the Mac mini, aside from the Retina MacBook, is in need of a refresh. It’s currently unknown exactly when Apple will make this announcement, as per the source suggestion is still on track for an October unveil.

With an event set to take place on October 27, media press invites should be going out later this week. Stay tuned for more….!
