New OnePlus handset is upcoming and expected it go on sale at a price-tag starting at Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000, and is said to be launched by this year end. Confused? Not to be, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei last month at an event said that its company is planning to launch a new smartphone this year which may or not have higher-end specs like what the OnePlus 2 goes with. If that’s is the actual point, then todays report clarifies that OnePlus’s new phone will be a mid-ranger and carries the price-tag we oft-mentioned.
According to another report from the general manager of OnePlus India, Vikas Agarwal – the new device will be unveild by the end of 2015, which will purely targeted on ladies actually, and of course gents as well, because it will be more like fasion and lifestyle product than a flagship device. Furthermore, he added that the new OnePlus phone will be launched globally and India will continue its biggest focus on it.
If you are aware of what leaked last week was an alleged device that was siad to be the OnePlus Mini passed through AnTuTu benchmarks site. Possibility still there that OnePlus could be debuting a phone that will be unveiled by this year ending, but keep in mind, nothing has gone official as yet.
Till now OnePlus relied on top and trending e-commerce websites in India such as Amazon.in, Flikart, and Snapdeal for flash sales of its hardware. Now that it is also claimed that OnePlus is also planning to open its own portal next year in the country, right from there it will be selling its phones, power banks, etc., in a similar fashion how Xiaomi started reatiling its products through its Mi.com site online.
OnePlus, currently following on-demand and sharable invite system to customers in order to purchase its smartphones, and the delay of OnePlus 2 suffered a lot this year and it also stated that it will now has plans to have open sales for the devices in either late September of early October for OnePlus 2 handsets.
