The HTC One A9 (codenamed Aero) has been showcased in another bunch of leaked images sporting different color variants and gives us a clearest look at the hardware to date. Although, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for manufacturers to design and at the same time develop new type of products without it somehow managing to make it into the public domain prior to an official unveiling. Leaks, are occasionally instigated by the company itself to show off pre-release interest in the hardware, but more often it happened to be in hands of the company’s insider which goes out without any official permission. The latest outing that we are now privvy to focuses on the HTC Aero 9 aka One A9, gives us our best look at the hardware up until now.
Now that speaking about the next-gen Aero version of HTC One A9 has come into scene. Previous speculation pertaining to the smartphone has already shown that the Taiwan-based manufacturer refers to the product internally as “Aero”, and that it should make its way onto physical and online shelves this coming fall. New images emerges, of course shared by Evan Blass via the @evleaks Twitter account, showing all the six potential color options of alleged HTC One A9 available to purchase in: Acid Gold, Opal Silver, Deep Garnet, Carbon Gray, Rose Gold and Cast Iron.
What’s more resembling is that the HTC’s One A9 design and visuals has striking mokeups to a certain popular smartphone from Cupertino-based company. Yes, it looks similar to the Apple’s iPhone 6. Specifications of the hardware, which already leaked a week ago or so, suggesting that the One A9 would ship with a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display. The hardware will suppoedly ship with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with the option to expand via microSD and a biometric fingerprint reader for authentication purposes and a 2150 mAh battery.
By the way, it will also feature 16MP rear camera and 4UP front facing cameras, and the tweet also mentioned about the device that would ship in six colors, which has now been confirmed through the latest leak.
It was promised that the Taiwanese company would look to try and revive flagging smartphone sales with a new flagship handset. HTC on other hand is well known for producing solid, reliable and powerful hardware, but unfortunately the company is also known for struggling finacially in an extremely competitive and standard market.
Will an iPhone lookalike smartphone gonna help HTC like its helped Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and some other companies? For now, “?”, only time will tell.
