In 2015 as expected, Microsoft has launched Windows 10 final to the Windows 7 and 8.1 users as a free upgrade, but still have to launch Windows 10 Mobile this year, alongside it, a list of highly-anticipated Lumia flagship smartphones. Recently, two of the those were alleged and called Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, as the 2015 Windows 10 Mobile flagships. Now it looks like the company will go with Lumia 950 and 950 XL instead.
Those already rumored gone through a benchmark, a camera setup leaked with Triple LED flash, and also got some purported specs as well. Here what we have today is the first ever image showing a prototype of either Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL.
Only difference between XL and non-XL is that the Lumia 950 XL will have a larger screen and the earlier won’t compete with and the rest of specs will be similar, almost. The above prototype image shows it inside a special case, but you can distinguish its rounded corners even so. This device has a dual-SIM settlement and sports a qHD (1440p) touchscreen, which will be foremost for the Windows world when it launches.
It also have a USB Type-C port and it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset paired by 3GB of RAM. Currently, it runs on Windows 10 Mobile Insder Preview, and the model number is RM-1116. Camera can shoot at 1080p videis at up to 90fps and 720p videos at up to 120fps.
The Lumia 950 and 950 XL is expected to be made official by Microsoft at an event in New York in October 2015. You can also witness the Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Band 2 unveil on the aforementioned timing.
