Although the Microsoft’s Surface Pro has been flattered by the introduction of similar devices like Apple’s iPad Pro and Google’s Pixel C, but never mind, though the Redmond-based firms original tablet-laptop hybrid gets its own update.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is now official and it packs a thinner bezel, lighter weight, and more powerful processing aesthetics, while also equippedwith a larger display than its predecessor.
Microsoft has used its extremely impressive Windows 10 devices media event to introduce the latest addition to its smartphone and tablet range, and the new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is one of the four. It looks like Microsoft is on form again, the newly introduced hardware has a fairly tough act to follow in the Surfcae Pro 3, which in the past managed to bring in more than $3.5 billion in revenue during its time in existence.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 hasn’t gone beyond its design and it’s not to be an entirely redesign either. It remains largely similar to the device that preceded it, but it does come with an improved larger screen. Bundled in a 12.3-inch PixelSense display at 267 ppi, and is 0.3-inches larger than that of the one found on the Pro 3. Actual pysical dimensions of the new hardware remain the same however, with Microsoft making room for the extra display size by shrinking the surround bezels from the equation.
The 12.3-inch Microsoft Surface Pro 4 display is backed up by the inclusion of one of Intel’s new Skylake processors, which is said to believe the marketing hype, then it’s capable of achieving speeds of up to 50% faster than Apple’s MackBook Air. RAM has increased and jumped to 16GB while the internal storage gone up to 1TB.
The continuation of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is made even more impressive with the integration of a new G5 chip, as well as the inclusion of Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant. Cortana can be involked immediately allowing her to respond instantly to audible voice commands.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is therefore compatible with existing keyboard accessories, which futhermore covers this year.
If the oft-mentioned convince you that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a real deal, then think about the return of the Surface Pen, then. It can be stored with the tablet using a magnetic connection and Surface Pen on Pro 4 will offer a yearlong battery life. What’s more aggressive is that the new Surface Pen carries an eraser (digital of course) on it tail, and is sensitive up to 1024 levels of pressure. Available in a 5 different colors, the stylus can also be used to trigger Cortana as well by hollding down the eraser, when needed.
The Type Cover for Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has also paid significant attention by making it thinner and including an all new glass trackpad that’s 40% larger than the one came before it. Now that Microsofdt is offering a version of the Type Cover with an integrated biometric reader as well as support Windows Hello.
There’s new Surface dock as well that has 4 USB 3.0 ports, 2 Display Ports (Upto 4k) and an ethernet port.
