The Motorola Droid Maxx 2 will reportedly to be called the US version of the Moto X Play of Verizon variant. Apparently, the Lenovo-owned firm is also planning to debut not one but two new handsets n the US Wireless carrier, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 would be another apart from Droid Maxx 2.
The former version of DROID Maxx 2 is expected to be coming with mid-range specs and is also said to be a rebranded version of Moto X Play. Specifications wise, it should remain very close to the X Play. The Doid Maxx 2 has its Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 5.5-inch FullHD display and packs a 3630mAh battery. Likely that it may have the similar 21MP camera as well and will go on sale through Verizon network, which is priced at US$ 300 for Unlocked.
Motorola has a very tight relationship with Verizon, and they are always re-branding products just to be able to keep US exclusives with Big Red. So it seems that Verizon could be going for a couple DROID handsets this year and the first version oft-mentioned and the second one would be the Motorola’s DROID Turbo 2. This phone would be higher-end and come with a price tag ranging around the $600 mark.
Specs for the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 are scarce, but it is said to pack an “unbreakable” display, confirms this could be partly due to the POLED panel the DROID Turbo 2 will be carrying. And the DROID Turbo 2 should also come with a massive battery like its predecessor. How big is the battery power in the Turbo 2?
