Today, HTC has launched a new upgraded version of One M9+ smartphone with better camera configurations. Dubbed One M9+ Aurora Edition, alongside the international variant of Butterfly 3 as well.
How best is the camera setup on the new HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition? First off the Tiawan firm has launched One M9+ with 20.7MP sensor with F/2.2 aperture, 27.8mm lens and with a secondary depth sensing camera back in April 2015.
Now that the HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition is live, sports a 21-megapixel camera with refreshed 26.7mm lens porting an F/2.2 aperture and a secondary camera has now been replaced by a Laser AutoFocus for faster focus sensors. It alomost have phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for betterfy the camera’s focusing and also includes Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
Specs-wise, the HTC One MP+ Aurora Edition is no different from its prdecessor, that includes 5.2-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD display. Undere the hood it is powered by a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, paired with a 3GB of RAM, available in 32GB of on-board storage which includes an expandable microSD card support (up to 2TB).
On software front, the HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition runs on Android Lollipop with Sense 7 UI skin on top. It has Dual front-facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby audio and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth and GPS with GLONASS and finally it packs a 2840mAh battery.
It has a 21MP rear camera with dual LED flash, OIS, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, 26.7mm lens, 4K video recording and an Ultrapixel front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, 26.8mm lens, 1080p video recording. Equipped fingerprint sensor with multi-directional touch-based sensors which is available in Gold, Silver, Black and Grey colors.
The HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition is priced at NT $ 20,900 (US$ 630 / Rs. 41,750 approx.). Will go on sale in Taiwan starting October 15th. Global roll out dates will be announced by HTC very soon.
