It was yesterday when Google has took the stage at its Nexus keynote in San Fransisco to introduce the world with its new set of handsets, slate and services and today following the official announmcements, BlackBerry’s Cheif Executive Officer, Jhon Chen has indeed showcased its upcoming BlackBerry Priv Android smartphone in a video. The BlackBerry Priv is one of the buzz created Android powered slider phone expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 CPU with 3GB of RAM. On Tuesday, the Canada-based phone manufacturer has officially revealed the first impressions of its security focused Android Lollipop smartphone.
In a blog post, the Waterloo, Ontario, smartphone maker released photos of the BlackBerry Priv, which is indeed gonna launch in the Q4 of 2015. Where Priv stands for both the “privacy and privilage,” according to BlackBerry. It’s the first product from the company to run on Google’s mobile operating system, Android software.
Unfortunately, the company behind the BlackBerry Priv slider has not released pricing details or any specific release date timeframe yet. But BlackBerry is embracing what its much larger rival has to offer, and said showing off the new photos, “Priv users will enjoy choice, innovation, security, privacy and productivity. In other words, no compromises“.
The BlackBerry Priv will sport a 5.5-inch curved screen and a slider keybaord with a physical QWERTY keypad and other two are the slide profiles of what the slider shown in action. The power button is seen ofn the right side of the phone in the center, wheraes the seperate volume rocker buttons are present on either side. There’s a microUSB port and the 3.5mmk Audio Jack at the bottom of the device.
