In China, Samsung has took the wraps off much-anticipated Galaxy A8 – a smartphone that only measures in at 5.9mm thin body and on stage it brings with it many surprising features and specs under the hood of the new slimmer hardware.
Finally, Samsung Galaxy A8 officially unveiled now in China. Specifications wise, the slim and not that thinner smartphone than Canvas Silver 5 has arrived with solid key features that likely won’t break the bank.
The Galaxy A8 flaunts a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor backed by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage and microSD expansion up to 128GB. Camera it got is of 16MP rear autofocus sensor with LED flash and hosues a 5MP front-facing shooter.
The most interesting innard would be the Galaxy A8’s physical home button integrated with a fingerprint scanner running on Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. With a near bezel-less design and an ultra-thin metal-clad body, the 5.9mm smartphone will become the slimmest Galaxy A series smartphone in the segment.
Available in 16GB/32GB variants along with expandable microSD card support and that too it is a dual SIM phone offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC and Bluetooth 4.1. It packs a 3050mAh battery for backup of the power.
Pre-order Galaxy A8 in Black, White and Gold color options in China. Samsung plans to sell this phone outside of China, soon be updated here if Samsung releases any more details on the device availability in your region.
