Samsung Launches Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 And Tab S2 9.7 With 5.6mm Slim Frame, QXGA Super AMOLED Display

Purported Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 device press renders made the rounds online. Juts ahead of the Korean firm announced both the 8-inch and 9.7-inch Tab S2 variants. Down from 8.4” and 10.5” in the first generation of the Tab s series tablet.


With a screen of 4:3 ratio and a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-and-9.7-inch tablets found to be similar to iPad family. Packing a Super AMOLED display at QXGA screen, are powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5433 chipset (1.9 GHz + 1.3 GHz) processor with Mali T760MP6 GPU and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Both the Galaxy Tab S2 8/9.7-inch tablets sports an 8MP rear camera and a front-facing of 2-Megapixel sensor. Paired with 3GB of LP-DDR3 RAM, available in 32GB or 64GB onboard storage and supports microSD cards (up to 128GB).

The Galaxy Tab S successors the Tab S2 has fingerprint scanner and offers 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, GLONASS. Battery on the Galaxy Tab S2 8-inch you have given a 4000mAh unit and on the Tab S2 9.7-inch unit you will have a 5870mAh package.

The display offers Adobe RGB color coverage for 94% accurate color output, better than the Tab S, said the company. The Fingerprint Scanner on the home button built-in. Adaptive Display automatically adjusts gamma, saturation, and sharpness based on the application being viewed, the color temperature of the viewing environment and ambient lighting.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and 9.7-inch Tablets goes on sale in Black and White colors. Available to buy in global markets starting August 2015. Pricing details are scarce at the moment.
