Now that we got to know about the new Xperia Z5 Premium, which is Sony’s biggest announcement and it is has an absurd 4K display. The Z5 Premium will offer a large 5.5-inch display to customers, with a 4K (3840×2160) IPS display, gives an intimidating pixel density of 806 ppi. Like the standard Z5, the Premium variant will ship with Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor and 3GB of RAM powering the device. The more premium is that, the device itself weighs in at a fairly respectable 180 grams and will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed.

Xperia-Z5-Premium

Potential consumers can expect an extremely capable 23-megapixel main shooter with an Exmor RS image sensor, fast autofocus, and 4K video capture and output. Looking at the preprepared 4K footage Sony included for its demo it would be hard to say it doesn’t deserve a place on the podium. A dearth of compatible footage. Sony promises that the Z5 Premium will upscale videos and images to 4K, but upscaling is usually not as good as the real thing.

The premium nature of the Xperia Z5 Premium is not only brought to life by the stunning 4K screen, but also the fact that this particular model ships in and available in chrome, black, and gold which looks undeniably luxurious. Sony has enabled Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology on the Z5 Premium.

Global launch for the Z5 and Z5 Compact, Sony has announced the date this coming October. The Z5 Premium will follow closely behind in November, available to grab in single and dual-sim variants. There’s no word yet on the price tags for each of these Xperia smartphone family.
