Top-End iPhone 7 Plus With Dual Cameras Could Be Called ‘iPhone Pro’

Rumors surrounding the high-end iPhone 7 Plus which was detailed to come with a dual camera setup alongside a smaller edition of iPhone 7. Now that, similar to what happened with the Apple’s 4-inch iPhone, named it iPhone SE, rather than 6c or 5se, the next-generation iPhone 7 Plus name has also been recreated, said, could be called the “iPhone Pro”. Apple is reportedly considering the name to distinguish the device from the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, said to include standard single-lens camera. This information has been shared by Chinese website, MyDrivers into the wild wild west.

The analyst of KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo although suggested previously that Apple is working on two versions of the iPhone 7 Plus, one with a single-lens camera and another with a dual-camera lens, to be sold alongside an iPhone 7 with a single-lens setup. Now that the rumor itself sounds unfamiliar as it would splinter Apple’s iPhone lineup, but Kuo technically believes that is Apple’s plan and he mentioned that in two seperate research notes. Believe it!

MyDrivers on the other hand have been sharing several details on the iPhone 7 and the iPhone SE, but as neither device has launched though. The site’s accuracy is still questionable, where Apple has used the same general number-based naming scheme for its lineup of flagship iPhones since the iPhone 3G launched in 2008. If that’s the case, then, MyDrivers should be viewed with some skeptism until confirmed by a source with a concrete track record.

Possibly that the rumors of an iPhone Pro surfacing due to the unique name which Apple is expected to adopt for its 4-inch iPhone – SE– and the speculated naming plan for the 9.7-inch iPad. Reportedly be branded as an iPad Pro rather than an iPad Air 3, naturally leading the speculation that Apple otherwise make the same shift in its iPhone lineup.

The two iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are not expected to debut until the fall this year, but multiple details about the devices are already outed and leaked online. In addition to an iPhone 7 Plus hardware with dual cameras, both the gadgets are rumored to include a water resistant unibody, no headphone jack, and a design that does away with the rear antenna bands and protruding camera, afterall.
