HBO Hackers Leak More Game of Thrones S07E04 Scripts With Contact Details Of Cast Members

Game of Thrones S07E04 and other episodes’ scripts have been leaked online along with contact details of GoT cast members. Here are the details.

By the way a ransom demand also includes lots of leaked internal data as it was the news toady has the hackers leak several email addresses through HBO’s top executives. HBO confirmed that it had been hijacked by a data breach resulting in stolen scripts and leaked content appearing online, you could be forgiven for thinking that was the end of a relatively short debacle.

Instead, a recent security breach at HBO has led to the personal phone numbers and email addresses of some Game of Thrones actors leaking online. It now looks like things are going to go from bad to worse for HBO with an individual calling themselves “Mr. Smith” having posted a new trove of leaked data including some claimed to be more related to blockbuster TV show GoT, to the Internet on Monday.

Hackers broke into HBO’s systems and reportedly stole 1.5TB of data, including scripts for upcoming episodes and two unreleased Game of Thrones episodes of Ballers and Room 104. Also heard that hackers have released 3.4GB of data, and that they’re demanding that HBO pay an undisclosed ransom to prevent further leaks.

Contained within the leaked data are draft scripts from five Game of Thrones episodes, and technical documents detailing HBO’s internal network and administration passwords. The leaked content is confirmed to include scripts relating to GoT itself. including one for an episode which has yet to air on television, likely episode 5. There are also been an entire mont’s worth of emails leaked, as well as contact details of cast members.

For its part, HBO has concluded the fact that it had experienced an attack which had resulted in the theft of “proprietary information” and that it continues to work with law enforcement and security experts in the “cyber” field. With the potential for even more content having been stolen and simply waiting for the hacker to release it, we could be in for days or weeks of content appearing online before it officially shows up on TVs safely and sound on HBO’s servers.

The one leaked document includes a list of personal phone numbers, home addresses, and email addresses for all of the season 7 Game of Thrones actors – including Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, and Emilia Clarke. There’s also a month’s worth of emails from HBO’s vice president for film programming, Leslie Cohen, is also part of the latest leak alongside a large number of confidential documents.

This should surely serve as a warning for other large media companies, too, giving them the impetus they shouldn’t really need in order to sort their privacy out ahead of another hack.
