Lenovo has launched Moto G5 smartphone in India, at an event in New Delhi on Tuesday, April 4. The latest Moto G series smartphone is a smaller variant of the newly launched Moto G5 Plus in India, which was introduced at at MWC 2017. Here’s everything you need to know about the smartphone.
The Moto G5 is now been launched in a single variant – 3GB RAM + 16GB of storage – priced at Rs. 11,999. It will be available to buy in two “Lunar Grey” & “Fine Gold” color choices straight from Amazon India at 12am IST on Wednesday.
The Moto G5 comes with a fingerprint scanner in the front, just underneath the Home button. It incorporates Google Assistant, but not unlike the Moto G5 Plus (Review), this AI feature is available out of the box, requiring no further update. While the Moto G5 handset features water-repellent nano-coating.
Precision-crafted design. One of the first new Moto G phones made from high-grade aluminum. Just like Moto G5 Plus, the Moto G5 also comes with Motorola-exclusive features such as Moto Display, Actions, twist gesture, and a One Button Nav mode, this lets users navigate the interface with swipes on the fingerprint reader.
Highlights to talk about, is its metal design. It features a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080) IPS LCD resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while the Moto G5 also has a 441ppi. Under-the-hood, the G5 smartphone is powered packed by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snaopdragon 430 processor. On the software, Moto G5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Now, the photography department you will find on the Moto G5 is of a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash. For selfies lovers, you will get a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on Moto G5 smartphone if you grab it one. The 32GB of internal storage is further expandable on Moto G5 via microSD slot (up to 128GB).
Connectivity options on the Moto G5 include support for 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11, GPS / A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Finally, not the least of battery life you will get from the Moto G5, packing a 2800mAh removable cell with support for Qualcomm fast charging. It comes bundled with a 10W rapid charger.

Officially, the smartphone comes preloaded with the Amazon, Amazon Prime Video, and Kindle apps. So Prime customers will get Rs. 1000 cashback if they use Amazon Pay balance.
