Rumors has already been circulating on the worldwide web for a good while now about this year’s iPhone 7s or 10th anniversary iPhone 8 unveil. Also predicting that the next iPhone will include the very first addition of wireless charging. Following various reports, Powermat CEP Elad Dubzinksi called wireless charging ‘a standard feature in the new iPhone’ ahead of any official iPhone 8 announcement.
The CEO also made the comment in an unrelated press release regarding the company gaining a new board chairman:
“With the recent announcement by Apple that wireless charging will become a standard feature in the next iPhone, we are finally at the threshold of mainstream adoption,” said Mr. Dubzinski.
He is CEO of a major company involved in the wireless charging industry, while he may be in a position to know something about these details prior of time, right? Maybe, but what’s unlikely is not the case here: Foxconn Testing iPhone 8 Wireless Charging Modules, Reportedly To Feature OLED Display
Now the CEO of a prominent player in the wireless charging space has suggested that such a feature addition will be “standard” on the next iPhone, apparently suggesting he has some more clues than the rest of us.
Speaking in a news release in which Powermaet’s CEO announced a new board chairman for his company, said that wireless charging will not only be an option on upcoming iPhones this year, but rather will actually be available as a stock feature. However, he obviously did not elaborate on whether this was for the high-end iPhone 8 we are all expecting to be introduced or a potentially lower specification iPhone 7s, but he definitely got something for sure seems convinced at least one iPhone will charge wirelessly in 2017.
The iPhone 8 is far been expecting to be Apple’s first iPhone that will support wireless charging. In fact long-range wireless charging tech, meaning its power can be refilled without the need to plug the device into socket. One of the more interesting new iPhone 8 rumors also said that the wireless charging feature will likely be introduced this September.
Given Apple’s recent entry into the Wireless Power Consortium, it is possible that Dubzinsk knows that we do not, giving his company’s long standing position at the head of the wireless charging table. Otherwise, it is also possible that he is simply making a statement based on Apple’s joining of that same consortium, though only he will know something for sure and we guess he will be confirming one way or another any time soon.
The Apple’s flagship iPhone 8 is utterly expected to feature a major bezel-less redesign. A report last fall predicted that Apple may not include the wireless charging in the box, however, despite shipping support for the given feature.
Regardless, until someone relatively tells us otherwise, we fully expect at least one of Apple’s big new releases this year to include wireless charging capabilities. There, consider that out stake in the ground. Stay tuned for more! Here’s How: You Can Add Wireless Charging To iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus Now
