Honor 8 Lite With 5.2-Inch 1080p Display, Android 7.0, 4GB RAM Announced In China

After unveiling Honor V9, Huawei’s Honor brand has also launched Honor 8 Lite, a cheaper variant of its Honor 8 flagship smartphone in Finland earlier this month. Now the Chinese company has announced the smartphone in its home country. Here are the details.


The smartphone has a 12-megapixel singe rear camera instead of dual-rear camera setup on the Honor 8, is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 processor and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 on top out-of-the-box.

Other features will be the same as Honor 8, including 5.2-inch fullHD 2.5D curved glass display, fingerprint sensor on the back, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, slim unibody design with metal frame and packs a 300mAh battery.

Honor 8 Lite Price / Availability

It comes in Gold, Blue, Black and White colors and goes on sale at 1099 yuan (US$ 159 / Rs 10,690 approx.) for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage option, the 4GB RAM variant with 32GB storage is priced at 1399 yuan (US$ 203 / Rs. 13,600  approx.). Finally, the 4GB RAM with 64GB top-end Honor 8 Lite model costs 1599 yuan (US$ 232 / INR 15,550 roughly). Now available for pre-order in China, ships from February 28 as Honor V9 does.
