WhatsApp Web Client service is supported on the Android, Chrome browser. However, if you have an iPhone which is jailbroken, then, this jailbreak tweak should help you jump into the web client service with an ease.
In a convinient way the WhatsApp Web Client let users chat with their friends from the likes of their computer, complete with support for image, video and audio file transfers. Best part here is that setting the service up in your Internet browser, and the quick notification alerts as they’re received on your iPhone.
First of all we are talking about a Cydia tweak, called WhatsApp Web Enabler – a jailbreak app for iPhone that – as can be guessed by name itself – enabled WhatsApp’s Web Client service on the iOS platform.
Here’s how does this work?
With the tweak installed, users should be able to see a ‘WhatsApp Web’ button added to the Settings menu of your favorite mobile chat. Trick, which is simple enough; just like as seen on Android and BlackBerry 10, users will need to head over to ‘web.whatsapp.com‘ and scan the QR code displayed on the webpage, after tapping the ‘WhatsApp Web’ button in the WhatsApp app.
The developer also included the ability to disable or enable the tweak from with the Settings app on your iPhone, and has updated the tweak to include some bug fixes which were warned by a few users in the first release.
Official WhatsApp Web Client support should ultimately reach iOS, but apparently Apple, accompained with security protocols in almost all integrations of new services, is taking its time to consider this.
WhatsApp Web Enabler is available from the BigBoss repository in Cydia for free. The tweak supports iOS 4 till iOS 8.x on iPhone.
