HTC ‘Marlin’ Nexus 2016 With Android 7.0 Nougat, 4GB RAM Spotted At Geekbench

After Google making its new mobile OS official Android Nougat, HTC swiftly promises that software for One M9, A9 and HTC 10, and the Taiwan-based manufacturer also decided to unwrap its Nexus 2016 flagship device as well. Dubbed HTC Marlin, which has been appeared at Geekbench benchmarking results, revealing its specifications.

The leak confirms that the HTC’s upcoming Nexus handset, codenamed Marlin shows up in the list of the benchmark site. While the Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to be available in the Q3 of this year, and radically expected the HTC’s devices could be the first to run Nougat out-of-the-box.

According to the Geekbench list the HTC Marlin, which is this year’s Nexus device coming with a 4GB of RAM and a quad-core processor. In terms of performance, the device scored 2,082 points for single-core whereas 4,969 points for multi-core.

Rest of the features are the HTC’s Nexus 2016 device, Marling to sport a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED screen with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 12MP rear-facing camera sensor, 8MP front camera for better selfies, speakers at the bottom of the handset, a USB Type-C port and Bluetooth version 4.2. Battery package found in the device as noted at 3450mAh cell, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and two storage variants be made available: 32GB and 128GB.

Although HTC is also said to be building a Nexus model featuring 5-inch screen dubbed Sailfish, which shares most of the innards of the Marlin, expect the battery capacity and screen size. Design-wise, both are a bit identical. Users will not have to wait too long for the new Nexus phones, as HTC is planning for a launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
