Huawei P20 Pro Leak Confirms It Has a Triple Camera Setup with 40MP Primary Sensor

According to Huawei P20 Pro smartphone leaked image, the phone is expected to be announced on March 27 alongside the company’s P20 series. A new set of rumors circulating across the web, revealing more details, including the benchmark scores and the highly-anticipated three-camera setup.

In fact, the new leak also confirms that the upcoming Huawei P20 Pro smartphone will likely carry a 40-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor.

Additionally, the same P20 Pro smartphone has also been spotted on a benchmark site revealing its specifications, such as Kirin 970 SoC, 6GB RAM, and Android 8.1 Oreo.

If this newly leaked information is anything to become true, the new Huawei P20 Pro smartphone codenamed “Charlotte”, which comes with a trio of cameras on the back. The 40MP sensor onboard is one of the biggest highlight ever in a smartphone history, topped only the iconic 41-megapixel Nokia PureView camera present in the Nokia 808 and Lumia 1020 previously.

In addition, the camera system reportedly enables 5x hybrid zoom, which means that it combines optical and hybrid zoom to get to that level. The report also suggests that the camera we’ll get with the Huawei P20 Pro is Leica-branded. Also present is a laser autofocus (LAF) and lens that have apertures ranging from f/1.6 to f/2.4.

About the specs, which are somewhat in line with most of the already reported details. Citing an XDA Developers report, WinFuture says that the camera in Huawei P20 Pro will shoot slow-motion videos at 720p at 960fps. There’s still a 24-megapixel camera on the front of the handset.

In terms of the screen resolution, the report claims that the Huawei P20 Pro will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 1080×2240 pixels resolution occupied by 19:9 aspect ratio and still have an iPhone X-like notch at the top. Even OnePlus 6 is said to have a notch, too, like the Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition.

While the CPU on the Huawei P20 Pro is powered by a Kirin 920 processor, which has been confirmed in the benchmark listing on GeekBench. As per the leaked listing, the P20 Pro smartphone will come with an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz CPU, 6GB of RAM and run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It scored an impressive 1921 in single-core performance and 6792 in multi-core.
