Huawei went beyond alleged expectation and unveiled the Huawei P8max with a massive 6.8″ whopping screen, which it covers overall 83% of the front though resolution is less than you would expect for the sizxe – FHD (1080p). More details on Huawei P8max can be checked after this break.
This new Huawei max series variant is a bit bigger than the regular P8 model. With a metal unibody, P8max packs an aerospace-grade aluminum finish, measuing at 6.8mm thin, its internals feature a complicated 7 layer head conducting structure, which indeed helps keep the chipset running 5°C lower than competing devices.
Powering the P8max with a Kirin 935 SoC with a 64-bit Octa-Core processor running at up to 2.2GHz CPU, Huawei introduces it with a custom software that offers split-screen multitasking, which eventually gets the homescreen’s landscape mode, just like tablet.
Camera wise, the Huawei P8max flaunts a 13MP primary camera with OIS sensor, but still unclear whether it uses the unique RGBW sensor of the smaller P8. The phone although integrated with a DSLR-like image single processor, and houeses a secondary 5MP selfie-centric sensor onboard.
Phablet that comes with the name of Huawei P8max is backed by a larger 4,360mAh battery package, which is rated to deliver up to 2 days of normal usage, and about one day and a half of heavy duty usage, as the company says.
Huawei P8max will work with a number of covers, including one made out of perforated leather, which sorts of acts like HTC DotView cases. Huawei’s cases has implemented with magnets that allow it to work as an adjustable kickstand for a better viewing experience. The P8max is a dual-sim device and supports 4G LTE connection that can reach up to 300Mbps.
It also got a 1W speaker, and using your P8max you can playback video for almost 15 hours respectively. Launch is expected in 30 countries after the iteration of Huawei P8. Max version costs €550 for the base version with 16GB of storage and €650 for the 64GB model.
