Honor 8 With Dual Camera Setup Launching In India On Oct 12


Huawei‘s sub-brand initiative Honor is all set to launch the mid-range Honor 8 in India on October 12. Honorably sent out invites for the Honor 8 India debut, which was actually announced back in China, now entering the Indian territory with high-end specifications. Here are the details.

The phone Honor 8 sports an awesome glass-backed screen design with two 12MP camera systems on-board. Under the hood, you will find a HiSilicon’s 16nm Octa-Core Kirin 950 SoC clocked at four Cortex A72 cores at 2.3GHz CPU and four energy-efficient Cortex A53 cores at 1.8GHz and still has Mali T880-MP4 GPU.

Other key features include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 8MP front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB-C. On the software front, you get a look at EMUI 4.1 skin on top Android 6.0 Marshmallow with 3000mAh power bank (battery).

Of course, the Honor 8 is going to be a strong competitor against the OnePlus 3, the Xiaomi Mi5, and the LeEco’s Le Max 2 in India. Honor 8 phone will be available in Sapphire Blue, Pearl White and Midnight Black colors.

Although Honor has priced its products competitively in the Indian market, seems it will be interesting to see where the upcoming phone slots in. The Honor 8 costs $399 in the U.S., suggesting the same smartphone would retail in the vicinity of Rs. 27,000.
