Instagram Update Brings New Photos and Video Direct Message Reply Options

Here’s what an update to Instagram brings with it is new ways to reply to photos and videos to improve Direct conversations with friends. It also includes the options to send split-screen replies.

Now that, Instagram users can reply to direct messages using photos and videos. When replying to a direct message of a photo or video sent from a friend, users can reply with their own video or a photo. Hit the “Reply” button on a message to open the camera and create a photo to send.

It’s that simple. All replies include a sticker of the image or video you’re replying to. Take a selfie otherwise, and send. Furthermore, Instagram users can even send a split screen reply, too. You can edit the photo by doodling on it or replace the face with some other character.

Apple officially open an Instagram account, while the social media service has started testing a two-person live streaming feature. Also rolled out a new thread based comment update. Today, Instagram announced new ways that users can use photos and videos to reply to photos, videos.

Your reply will automatically include a sticker of what you’re replying to. Just hit “reply” to open the camera, take a selfie, and send.

The other new feature is the option to send split-screen replies by tapping on the sticker and being able to draw on it. That automatically included with every day reply. When tapped, the sticker will appear at the top of the screen and your own photo will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Add your own perspective by drawing on the sticker, whether you’re painting a mustache on your friend’s selfie or doodling on a beach photo.
