Here’s what we have is the release of 9.3.5 semi-untethered jailbreak for 32-bit devices which caused a sense of investigation in the jailbreak community. Just days after the Phoenix jailbreak for 9.3.5 was been made available to the public, @pr0x13 has posted a statement highlighting that the iOS 9.3.5 untether is “almost done,” raising excitement levels about a potential permanent and untethered solution coming, likely as part of a future Phoenix update.
Untethered Jailbreak On iOS 9.3.5 For 32-bit Apple Devices
The Phoenix jailbreak tool literally came out with no-one really expecting any type of liberation to be offered for iOS 9.3.5. The solution currently exists as a semi-untethered offering, which is somewhat a thing like a jailbreak app, essentially needs to be executed every time the device is hard rebooted or entirely powered down and powered back up.
The jailbreak world has become accustomed to semi-untethered jailbreaks being the best that it can hope for in the modern world of device jailbreaking, but this announcement suggests that the almost holy grail of solutions is coming, and soon.
Jailbreaking your iOS device is nothing but hacking. In addition to suggesting that the untether is “almost done,” the statement also describes the two bugs used to achieve that untethered status. It stipulates that those two bugs have already been “burned” in iOS 10.xx, meaning that they are already out in the public domain and are therefore safe to use and expose for this liberation.
Okay so untether is almost done for 9.3.5. Using bugs burned in 10.xx. persistence + cs.
Interestingly, there’s no exact timelines for release given, though. There is also no proof provided with the statement posted on Twitter or any additional information thrown out providing how this untether would be released to the community.
The only thing and the only solution currently we have is the Phoenix jailbreak for 32-bit iOS 9.3.5 devices. This solution can also be installable without needing a computer, rather using third-party signing services.
If the existence of an untethered jailbreak is real and made available for 32-bit devices running iOS 9.3.5. An updated version of the Phoenix tool is expected nearby.
Alleged About iOS 9.3.5 Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
Main point to be noted is that, it’s also possible that it could be offered as a Cydia installation for those who have already jailbroken using the existing Phoenix tool. As we get any physical evidence of the untether, we’ll let you know.
