Rumors were spreaded online regarding Reliance Jio gearing up to commercially launch its 4G LTE service in India this month, early April. Multiple reports although pointed the Relianace Jio 4G services rolling out today, but it looks like the release may take some more time. The 4G SIM cards have already arrived into the Relianace Digital stores, but customers aren’t able to buy it right now.
If the latest report is to be believed then the company has already delivered the Reliance Jio 4G SIMs across its Digital Stores, and made available for purchase to its employees, currently. As requested earlier, the Reliance Jio won’t be selling standalone 4G SIM acrds directly. Customers will however need to purchase VoLTE-enabled LYF smartphones to initially get the Reliance Jio 4G connection.
It was last week, we came in front of leaked Reliance Jio 4G plans. For the soft launch, Reliance Jio had offered 4G SIM cards to its employees for Rs 200 with 75GB 4G mobile data and 4500 minutes. But that plans were been only for network testing purpose, as RTN Asia reports.
With that said, if anyone buys LFY-branded smartphone, then Jio is also expected to offer Mi-Fi dongles. According to reports, 40GB 4G data plans could set you back anywhere between Rs 700 to Rs 800 with vailidity for three months. The Reliance Jio company is also expected to offer 4G LTE data pnas up to 200GB.
Reliance Digital has also launched 4G-capable smartphones under its LFY banding with VoLTE support and VoWiFi. Reliance Jio has started rolling out digital services with apps for cloud storage, music and video streaming, and at the same time also offering free public Wi-Fi hotspots across the country at numerous ICC World Cup T20 stadiums thus far.
