WhatsApp For iOS Adds Photos Filters, Albums And More

WhatsApp is now adding three new features on iOS, small changes, but worth noting. The updated WhatsApp iOS client includes something that was users able to send five or more photos/videos at once, which have now been changed. Here are the details.

First up, WhatsApp will now automatically group those photos or videos into an album. All this really means is that your images are tiled together to avoid the clutter in your conversations. Tap and you will get a full screen view of all the photos in an album, as shown below.

By the way, WhatsApp is also now catching up a bit with Facebook’s other apps by adding a few filters right in the camera. Though there are only five at the moment, but nevertheless, they work with photos, GIFs, and videos. And lastly there’s a new reply shortcut: swipe right on a message and start typing.

No official word on when the features rolling out to iOS will hit Android WhatsApp Messenger, should not take much time now.
