iOS 10.3.1 / 10.3 Jailbreak Demoed, Releasing Next Week?

This is all about jailbreaking world of late, but with Pangu’s demonstration of the very real potential for things gets a release date which is set for next week.

iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak

The members of the China-based Pangu Team have been showing off a functioning iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak on iPhone 7 at a tech conference, fueling speculation that the team could be planning to release a tool to the wider community offering iOS 3.0.1 support.

Rumors on the iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak has been kicked off by an image and clip being also shared around the Internet of what is actually a member of Pangu Team presenting an iOS 10.3.1 exploit/vulnerability at a technology conference.

The image although shows a familiar-looking Pangu jailbreak app running on a blown-up iPhone with the word “Jailbreaking…” in the middle of the display. Above the image is a title, which clearly states “iPhone 7 iOS 10.3.1” tp signify that the app is liberating Apple’s latest iPhone running the latest public firmware version of iOS.

Furthermore, it has been driven by a post to social media, in Chinese, from what is being described as a “reliable source,” with the rough translation being “we are working with app assistant. If agreed, within a week issued iOS 10.3-10.3.1 jailbreak.”

Now, we have a real existing prospect of a new jailbreak tool which comes equipped with the ability to liberate Apple’s modern devices running the latest publicly available firmware, Given the fact that the content of the image, this would apparently include iPhone 7/7 Plus.

iOS 10.3.1 Jailbreak Tweet
Interestingly, the account in question has also taken the opportunity to answer a query on device compatibility, saying that the jailbreaking tool will be compatible with all 64-bit iOS devices.

Pangu has essentially been out of the public eye from a jailbreak solution since the release of Pangu9. However, it’s worth noting that exploiting iOS 10.3.1 is nothing more than a security research project for the team, and that it has no potential of actually releasing something to the public.

It’s also very likely that whatever possibile solution the team has to jailbreak iOS 10.3.1 isn’t actually in a position to be publicly release. After all, a simple image doesn’t really give away the complexities of what is actually involved.

With previous Pangu’s relationship with the jailbreak community and today we have a presumably genuine social media post outlining the intention to release, we could definitely find ourselves with a new iOS 10.3.1 jailbreak tool sooner rather than later.
