iOS 11.0.3 Update Could Give You Back Some Storage On Your Device?

Although it was not mentioned in the iOS 11.0.3 update changelog or release notes, but surprisingly the latest update gives you juice of storage space. It seems like Apple’s iOS 11.0.3 update has managed to save some room somewhere with the new version of iOS download and install.

The iOS 11.0.3 update is, obviously the third small update to iOS 11 since Apple pushed the newest major version of their mobile operating system to the general public last month. With each update Apple fixed a few small bugs here and there to help users get the most of their device. Of course, there are some other issues that are still bugging users even after the third update to iOS 11. First was the complaint about poor battery life which has yet to be acknowledged by Apple or fixed with any updates.

iOS 11.0.3 Changelog

Particularly, the iOS 11.0.3 update aimed to resolve an issue where iPhone 6s users were having trouble with the touch response on their device. Plus, there was also an issue regarding audio and haptic feedback was not working correctly for some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus users. Though, there wasn’t a mention of storage improvements within the new 11.0.3 update. As always, Apple doesn’t list out every minor change they make when they release an updated version of their firmware. While the improvements are so minor that most users won’t even notice and, as quickly as they appeared, they could also disappear once Apple pushes out another update.

Same thing happened here as well. The new iOS 11.0.3 update frees up a little bit of storage space on your compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device. Nothing is mentioned either, so how much extra storage space you get after the iOS 11.0.3 update? Almost about 250MB. Yes, it’s a pretty minor improvement, and are likely won’t be parades in celebration of this extra storage space. But nevertheless, it is still a nice one to see that Apple was able to find something in iOS 11 that could eventually cut or reduce to help save some storage space for users.

Note: You can use Dr. Clean on iOS 11 devices which also helps you free up storage without jailbreak. Download it before Apple pulls it from iOS App Store.

If Apple does this a couple more times throughout the life of iOS 11 then users could have an extra 1GB of storage space before they know it.

Have you made the jump to iOS 11.0.3? Did you find it fixed any previous issues you faced? Have you noticed some extra storage space to make use of it? Give it a try and see it for yourself. We will back soon as we get anything new in the latest iOS 11.0.x update.
