Here’s what we have is a quick update on iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak development so that you’re up to date with the latest news and progression.
Electra Jailbreak‘s current solution supports iOS 11 – iOS 11.1.2 and 11.2 through to iOS 11.3.1. It doesn’t work with iOS 11.4 or iOS 11.4.1 as Apple has patched the vulnerabilities used by the Electra Jailbreak in iOS 11.4.
Those who have already reversed back or downgrade from iOS 11.4.1 to iOS 11.4 beta 3, are eligible to jailbreak their iPhones and iPad devices. As it can be jailbroken and Apple was still signing it, but unfortunately, Apple has recently stopped signing it so there is no way to jailbreak iOS 11.4.1-11.4 currently.
Hackers have jailbroken iOS 12 on iPhone X only, which in fact, is currently running a beta version. It also means the vulnerabilities used in the iOS 12 jailbreak could be used to jailbreak iOS 11.4.1 as well. But again, we are assuming that the developer team doesn’t want to burn the jailbreak exploits yet rather keep it for the public iOS 12 jailbreak, which makes sense.
Point to be noted, if Apple does end up patching the vulnerabilities in the iOS 12 pre-release version or the final public release of the operating system then we could get the iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak very soon.
Another great research team of the Electra Jailbreak has also created their own Cydia replacement or Cydia alternative app for the future of jailbreaking by planning to release Sileo, pronounced as “Silly-o” which would replace Cydia Installer as the App Store for jailbreak tweaks and themes.
There are other hackers also planning to release Libertas, a new jailbreak detection bypass tweak, which is said to work with more than 90+ popular apps so that you can use them even after jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad.
We’ll be keeping you updated with the latest iOS 11.4.1 jailbreak and other things right here. Stay tuned for more!
