iPhone 6s Battery Dies Unexpectedly? Apple Will Fix For Free Even If Out Of Warranty

If you are facing iPhone 6s shutting down issues, Apple is there to fix it by replacing free battery even if it’s out of warranty.

According to the latest report Apple will be replacing defective iPhone 6s batteries for free of charge, but also said that it only do so if it meets certain requirements. However, the Cupertino-based company has been going through the process of investigating the issue and has launched a dedicated repair program that allows those suffering from the issue to have it resolved without cost.

Apple has also made owners aware of that problem which is only affecting small number of devices within a limited serial number range. As part of the Apple’s repair program launch, also said all of which manufactured between September and October 2016 are been affected by this unexpectedly shutting down.

Made an announcement by Apple that the issue being faced by the iPhone 6s is “not a safety issue“, like what Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 problem, which started catching fire and exploding presumably due to a faulty battery unit, and Apple suggests device owners not to panic as they aren’t in any known danger from the hardware.

With this end result for those affected by the issue is a free of charge battery replacement, carried out in an Apple Store or via an official reseller, meaning that Tim Cook’s company has clearly identified the battery in those limited number of devices to be the problem.

Apple has determined that a very small number of iPhone 6s devices may unexpectedly shut down. This is not a safety issue and only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between September and October 2015. If you have experienced this issue, please visit an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider and have your device’s serial number checked to confirm eligibility for a battery replacement, free of charge.

Anyone out there suffering from the damn issue can make an appointment with their local Apple Store people to have their device examined properly and check that it’s in working order, and then to make sure that the serial number of the device is part of the batch affected. Once that has been confirmed, Apple will then replace the battery without fuss. Alternatively, those affected, can also contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider, or callback Apple Support team directly.

What’s good news here is that Apple announced that it’s now offering a free battery replacement for iPhone 6s handsets that have power issues. Unlike with Touch Disease, you won’t have to pay to get your battery replaced. Apple will swap it out for you at no additional cost.

Update x1: Wireless carriers are not participating in the repair program at this stage, and anyone who may be affected can find out more about new initiative from here legally.
