Once Again iPhone SE 2 Rumored to Launch In First Half Of 2018

It was already said that Apple will release a second-generation iPhone SE something iPhone X-like edge-to-edge screen smartphone next year. Now that another report from Economic Daily News claims that iPhone SE 2 will be unveiled in the first half of 2018.

Rumors claim the tentatively named iPhone SE 2 will be assembled exclusively by Taiwanese manufacturer Wistron at its factory in Bengaluru, India, where some assembly of the current iPhone SE occurs.

The predicted release date window lines up with an earlier report from Focus Taiwan suggesting a new iPhone SE will ship in the Q1 of 2018, could be January through March of next year.

If you look at the past, Apple introduced iPhone SE at a media event on March 21, 2016, and the device launched later the month. Given the same launch dates, the iPhone SE 2 could certainly be announced in March too.

An Indian website Tekz24 previously reported that the next-gen iPhone SE will be powered by Apple’s A10 Fusion chip, with 2GB of RAM, 32GB, and 128GB storage capacities. It also said a 12MP rear camera, a five-megapixel front-facing camera, and a slightly larger 1,700mAh battery as well.

However, the website isn’t as popular as we’re familiar with, and it doesn’t have an established track record of reporting on Apple rumors. So don’t admit too much faith in those tech specs until if and when they are confirmed by other reputed sources.

The current iPhone SE looks much like the 5S, including its four-inch display preferred by a subset of customers. This device is powered by Apple’s A9 chip, which iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have, 2GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Touch ID.

Stay tuned for more detailed information regarding the OLED iPhone SE 2 with a Face ID and A10 Fusion chip, which could be Apple’s $349 budget Phone.
