The gadget which we’re talking about is the Lenovo A5000 just unveiled in Russia and another affordable variant in A series. Following the trend of A6000, A7000 and the new arrival of Lenovo A6000 Plus, the company has advertised A5000 with 4000mAh battery powerhouse. According to Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone is now available, and went on sale at a price of Rs 10,250 in India. First and foremost, Russian market will be retailing Lenovo A5000 in the market, and with a massive 4,000mAh battery, the company claims it is good enough to deliver up to 17 hours of talktime and to 792 hours of standby mode, and also highlights Quick Charge feature, which charges the unit in just three hours. With a 15 minutes battery charge will be enough to offer up to four hours of talktime.
It features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 300ppi. Under the hood is a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor paired with Mali T760-MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card, 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Connectivity options support dual-SIM, 3G network, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and the draw back is that it won’t get 4G LTE connection enabled. On the software end, the Lenovo A5000 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, which can further upgradable to Lollipop. It is expected to launch officially in a few days.
