Lenovo Z5 Concept Sketch Suggests No Notch Or Bezels

If not a lot of phone makers are trying to maximize the screen size on their upcoming devices, but often left with top and bottom bezels or a notch (something like iPhone X). The Lenovo Z5 is true all screen, as the company’s CEO VP Chang Cheng shared a teaser for the Z5 on Weibo.

It is clear now that the first company which manages to create a phone with no bezels will be the new leader in the smartphone design arena. Latest concept sketches of the Lenovo Z5 are showing a lot of promises, as it has to become the world’s first fully bezel-less smartphone.

Images were released by the company’s mobile group product manager, while the sketch of the latest model is genuine and a good representative of what we can expect to see in real life. It’s the Lenovo’s new flagship phone, otherwise. Besides that, the post leaves it pretty vague. What we don’t know is if the Lenovo Z25 is in production, or merely a concept.

The photo suggests a smartphone with no bezels, no front camera nor light sensors visible, nevertheless, there’s also no Home button or any button whatsoever on the display. All-screen phones look awesome, although they challenge the manufacturer to find a place to put front-facing cameras, sensors, and other hardware.

That is the reason why we see bezels on some phones and notches on others. It’s not clear as yet what Lenovo plans to do with the front camera on the Lenovo Z5. VP’s post claims that “four technological breakthroughs” and “18 patented technologies” were made for the phone, but doesn’t go into wide-details. This indicates that the company is trying out something new in this field.

Previously shared a different teaser of the Lenovo Z5, who claimed that it had a 95-percent screen-to-body ratio.

This render of the Lenovo Z5 doesn’t show us the whole picture. But again, we can only assume that the new Lenovo Z5 smartphone will have the highest mentioned ratio. Both sketch and teaser image are not showing selfie camera or any light and proximity sensors at the front.

For now, there is no official release date mention or even it doesn’t appear when the new model will be announced by Lenovo. However, the reports do say that the launch is expected to be on June 14. The price range predictions are also relatively speculative though, we can expect it to be somewhere around $1000, just like Apple’s iPhone X. Stay tuned for more.
