Unveiled at this year’s CES, the LG G Flex 2 was announced to be coming to the United Kingdom as Vodafone exclusive. But since then, there was no word regarding its release date in the UK and today it has been revealed that the handset will launch on March 19 with pre-orders opens on February 12.
In order to launch LG G Flex 2 in the UK, Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone have teamed up and opened a pre-registration page. Confirming that they will start accepting preorders for the Flex 2 on February 12th and the handset is expected to be available to buy in its stores from 19th of March.
Specifications wise, the LG G Flex 2 packs a 5.5-inch Curved P-OLED 1080p display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels screen, offering a pixel density of 403ppi sporting Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit ocat-core Qualcomm Snapdraogon 810 SoC clocked at quad-core 1.5GHz and 2GHz quad-core CPUs.
Graphic departments goes with Adreno 430 GPU, paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of buil-in storage and an expandable microSD card slot (up to 128GB). However, no retailer or any UK network carrier have announced pricing as yet.
Camera front, the G Flex 2 flaunts 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), dual LED flash and capable to recaord 4K videos and with a 2.1MP front sensor supports Full HD video recording. Runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with LG’s own UI on top.
Connectivity options on the LG G Flex 2 includes LTE Cat 6 support, Wi-Fi n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC and an IR Blaster. Finally, it weighs 152 grams, measures 49.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4mm and comes with a 3000 mAh battery.
