Confirmed: LG G5 Flagship To Have An ‘Always ON’ Display [Facebook Promo]

Smartphone manufacturers in 2016 are betterly coming with powerful aspects these days to ramp the excitement for a new release. Companies like Apple and Samsung are of course the big competitors doesn’t need to do actually anything to promote its hardware or do any kind of social medai-based marketing prior to launching new gadget, but the luxury do not apply across the board. The oft mentioned won’t go with LG, where in a effort to promote its latest flagship – the LG G5 due to be unveiled during this year’s MWC media event in Barcelona. For that, LG has taken to Facebook to post a G5 teaser GIF animation that highlights the device’s “Always ON” display feature.

The GIF image posted on social media is clearly designed to tease and rise axcitement levels ahead of the hardware’s February 21st unveiling during the Mobile World Congress. The posted animation rather than featuring actual images merely shows an outline of the G5 hardware, and features the “Never go asleep while others do. LG G5, Always ON” caption. The functionality included here although ensure that owners will always be able to view some arbitrary information on the screen without having to bring it to life.

In terms of introducing G5 with a new design integrated with presumably unique features, LG may be attempting to break away from the norm, but this isn’t the first time a manufacturer has going with the “always on” display angle. Introduced by Motorola with the launch of Moto X out-of-the-box solution for allowing users to view notifications and specific info while the device is asleep on in standby mode.

Given the fact that LG feels the need to post a teaser specifically reating to the said ‘Alaways ON’ display feature, we can simply admit and hope the company has built a better solution that is more innovative and functional than integrations that we’ve seen in the past.

In addition to the pompted “Alaways ON” display feature, rumors has it said that LG will be banking a new aesthetic and a unique accessory slot at the bottom of the G5 to attract global attention. Drawing leaked in mid-January, also hints at the relocation of the LG G5’s iconic volume buttom from the back, to the left side. All the genuine information can be grabbed during the LG’s presentation at Mobile World Congress on February 21st, 2016. Followed by Samsung Unpacked “Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge” launch event, showcased on the same release date timeframe.
