Meizu M3X Announced Officially: Specs, Price And Release Date

The Meizu M3X has just been unveiled after introducing PRO 6 Plus smartphone in China. The M3X is the company’s latest mid-range hardware announced by Meizu at an event in its home town. Here are the complete details and somewhat reviews.


Meizu M3X Specifications

Starting with the display and the sreen resolution of the M3X smartphone. Features a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p Sharp TDDI LCD 2.5D curved glass with 85% NTSC color gamut, 1500:1 contrast ratio and not protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 like it does with the PRO 6 Plus.

Under the hood of Meizu M3X, you will find a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P20 Octa-Core 64-bit plus 16nm processor with ARM Malu T880 GPU. Paired with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM + 64GB of internal memory.

On the software front, the Meizu M3Xsmartphone gets official and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of Flyme OS 6.0.

The new smartphone from Meizu, the M3X has a glass back with ceramic crystal coating that dazzles when the light is reflected. It comes equipped with mTouch fingerprint recognition tech that can eventually unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds for payments using Alipay and weChat.

Photography features you find on the Meizu M3X are the 12MP rear-facing camera with dual tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Sonmy IMX386 sensor with 1.25 μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and 4K video recording. For selfies, the Meizu M3Xflaunts with a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options that Meizu M3X offers 4G VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, USB Type-C port and the whole smartphone is powered charged by a 3200mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.


Available in three new colors; Phantom Blue, Gold and Obsidian Black. Priced at 1699 yuan (US$ 247 / INR 16895 approx.) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant and the 4GB RAM + 64GB Meizu M3X model costs 1999 yuan (approximately US$ 290 / rS 19,880). Live now for order in China and goes on sale starting December 8th.
