Motorola India has officially confirmed that the next Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones will be an Amazon exclusive, which also given the launch date timeframe for both the fourth-gen Moto G flagships and availability details. On Twitter, the Lenovo-owned company has revealed that the new Moto G (4th Gen) and its Plus will go on sale through flash sales on the said e-commerce website in the country.
Indeed, Motorola has sent out invites for the release event on Tuesday in India, but nothing was mentioned in the press notes except the date. Nevertheless, it is well known that the company is anticipated to debut its next-generation Motorola Moto G smartphone in India first, which it done earlier. What’s more purported is that Motorola is rumored to introduce Moto G4 Plus variant alongside, housing a fingerprint sensor in addition.
Beyond that, the company has shared several teasers for the upcoming and yet-unannounced Moto G4 smartphone, contrasting its offering with other alternatives that hang while playing video games, switch off unexpectedly due to low battery, and ruins images due to slow camera autofocus.
Leaked Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus specifications are expected to feature a .5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display, an octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Plus is rumored to sport a fingerprint scanner, and of course an upgraded version of 16MP rear camera. Showed a square-shaped fingerprint sensor placed underneath the Home button, a speaker grille, a front-facing camera, and the main camera with flash and autofocus enclosed in a pill-shaped module and a dimple with the company “MOTO” logo below the camera.
Motorola will unveil the next-gen Moto G phones – the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus – at an event set for May 17 in India. It’s worth mentioning that Motorola phones have been exclusive to Flipkart until now.
