Asus is one of the most popular Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer although made a hype in 2015 with the launch of ZenFone 2 series and not just recently, but also delivered an all-new Asus Watch. In 2016, Asus and other Chinese, South Korea, Cupertino, Mountain View-based company’s are well said to focus on their next-generation smartphones. Like that Asus is also reportedly planning to introduce its new ZenFone 3 in May or June of next year’s calender months.
Well, knowing that new phones are coming out in 2016, one of the unnamed Taiwan-based source suggests that there is not one but a variety of models from Asus to launch in 2016. It’s given that the next-gen Asus ZenFone (3) will be equipped with Fingerprint sensor and to feature USB Type-C ports on-board.
If these sources are to be believed and trusted, then the iteration of ZenFone 3 will only launch in the month of May or June. The reason behind this release date timeframe is that the ZenFone 3 is apparently going to be the first and foremost device in ZenFone line to sport a fingerprint scanner, which we have accompained with the high-end and mid-range smartphone in this year, 2015. Because of increased orders, the price for those smartphone with fingerprint sensor could fall to $5 in 2016.
Drop in costs is probably the main reason for it inclusion in the ZenFone 3. Fingerprint scanners are expected to be featured in 50-percent of smartphones in the upcoming weeks or months, up from around 30% nowadays. Which is said that Asus ZenFone 3 will adopt fingerprint recognition solution developed by Taiwan-based Elan Microelectronics and China-based Goodix.
Asus, the company has been doing well in 2015 and in particularly in the regions of Southeast Asia, India, Brazil, Russia and Taiwan and plans already emerged in expanding its business to the cuntries like Myanmar, Combodia, Bangladesh, Egypt and Nigeria. When we speak about shipments, Asus is expected to deliver 20 million smartphones in 2015 and tends to ship at least 30 million units this year.
n 2016, the company will expand sales of its handsets to new markets in Asia and Africa with the launch of Asus ZenFone 3 is a question. We have to wait until it officially goes live or see what other reports claims in the future. Stay tuned!
