BlackBerry although made an announcement about ceasing its in-house phone production, but today we have witnessed the introduction of yet another BlackBerry Android-powered smartphone. The newly launched smartphone BlackBerry DTEK60 comes as no surprise, which was already well acquainted with the device which is now made official. Much like its DTEK50, the DTEK60 is purely based on an existing Alcatel, or rather TCL design. Of course, BlackBerry has made some minor changes and improvements to the specs-sheet as well.

The said DTEK60 device features a metal-framed body with a dual-glass finish – one on the back and another up front. It is built with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM memory, 32GB of internal storage as well.
In terms of photography sensor feature, the BlackBerry’s DTEK60 sports a 21-megapixel rear camera unit and an 8-megapixel for selfie shots on its front. There’s a 3000mAh battery for better life and the device which we are taking care also has a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and a programmable button on the side.
On the software front, the BlackBerry DTEK60 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, also upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat in the future. Still, you can add productivity in the right enterprise environment thanks to the BlackBerry’s own apps, like the BB HUB and Calendar. Bootloader there (Hardware Root of Trust), in order to protect business data against hackers rooting the device. For that you will get all of your phone’s data stored and protected with FIPS 140-2 encryption, and the DTEK app lets you monitor and fix privacy violations. Unlocking the device, accessing Password Keeper app, and making any purchases, through Android Pay is also present.
