Camera-Centric OPPO R9 Smartphone Teased, Launch Date Expected On March 17

OPPO is one of the most popular smartphone manufacturer that focuses specifically on photography aspects, as has today released a teaser image showing off its upcoming mobile in that category. However, OPPO hasn’t revealed an exact time frame for the upcoming OPPO R9 announcement, but it is expected to go live in the Spring, starting March.

The teaser of Oppo R9 hints at a sleek metal body and SIM card slot on the right hand side of the hardware, and this won’t be the first smartphone coming in R series, as it has already released R7 and R7 Plus back in May 2015, and directly in 2016, unveiling R9 rather than going with R9.

As per the new reports and leaked images, OPPO will introduce R9 and the R9 Plus at the scheduled event and both comes running Andropid 6.0 Marhsmallow-based Color OS, fingerprint sensor on the home button, 4GB of RAM and be available with the amount of 64GB on-board storage.

The Oppo R9 is being teased as a camera-centric smartphone, could come integrated with the latest VOOC Super Flash Charge capabilities. It is expected to have a 5.5-inch fullHD 1080p display, camera of 16MP rear and 13MP selfie shooter and the battery package of 2850mAh. While the Oppo R9 Plus with 6-inch FHD screen, 16MP front and rear sensors and a massive 4120mAh battery.

If the rumors are to be believed then the so-called OPPO R9 and R9 Plus will be powered by Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 SoC or Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor. Launch date is unofficially expected to be on March 17.
