Honor 8 is the company’s flagship in the Honor series and the latest offering from the Chinease maker for Indian market, which actually was announced in China back this year in July and today launched Honor 8 in India.
Featuring a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920x1080p) 2.5D curved glass display, the Honor 8 phone gets 96% NTSC color gamut, which also shares the similar 2.5D curved glass on the back of the aluminum alloy frame. Huawei is offering Honor 8 in with single SIM variant in the country that has a dedicated memory card slot. With the same dual camera system on the back of Huawei P9, with one sensor being RGB and other being monochrome, the phone comes with rounded edges (front/rear).
Powering the Honor 8 with Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor (Cortex-A72 4 x 2.3GHz + ARM Cortex-A53 4 x 1.8GHz) paired with Mali-T880 GPU. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of EMUI 4.1 skin. Coupled with 4GB of RAM plus 32GB of internal storage, which can further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the photography sensor, you will get a 12MP dual real-facing cameras with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, f/2.2 aperture, 6P Lens, 1.4um pixel size. On its front, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 aperture camera module. It is also carrying an infrared sensor with smart remote 4.0 app, fingerprint scanner and housed to support 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fiac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C. It packs a 3000mAh battery (typical) and 2900mAh unit (minimum).
The Huawei’s Honor 8 will be available in Sunrise Gold, Pearl White, Sapphire Blue colors and is priced at Rs. 29,999 in India. Offering Honor 8 exclusively on Amazon.in, Flipkart and the official Honor Store online/offline. It also comes with extended warranty for 2 years, free-replacement for 3 months.
