Huawei although introduced some best smartphones till date with honor and its impressive specs sheets. To wrap up the year, the company has unveiled the curviest phone ever into the market. Announced Honor Magic, the new smartphone shows up some of its latest goodies. Every edge and every corner of the device is as smooth as a pebble and much more to showcase. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest hardware by Huawei.
Featuring a number of interesting internals the Honor Magic is a brand new model from the Chinese company. At an event in China, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor announced the Honor Magic, which isn’t the HTC Magic. But a different kind of dual-lens camera sporting smartphone. It comes after Xiaomi Mi MIX, Huawei was teasing the launch of its concept phone for the past few days and today it had it in place for an official announcement.
Finally. The Honor Magic gone live, the smartphone features a refreshing new design alongside a number of other magical features to make it stand out from the crowd. Launched with AI assistant, the Honor Magic goes beyond the technology used by Huawei Mate 9 too.
In terms of design, the Honor Magic sports a metal frame with curved edges and a double 3D glass at the front and back tapered towards the edges. The power and volume rockers are placed on the right edge, while the 3.5mm audio headphone jack, dual SIM card slot, microUSB port and speaker grille are placed at the bottom of the new hardware. Up front, just below the display, the Honor Magic comes with a physical Home button, which doubles as a fingerprint reader. It also includes gestures-based controlling features – a combination of taps, swipe and long press can be used for back, switch between apps and exit to homescreen. Same feature was actually found on Lenovo Z2 Plus with U-Touch inclusion.
The Honor Magic also sharing the same Kirin 950 as found in the Honor 8. Nevertheless, things really get interesting when you look at some of the unique extras onboard. Many of which as supposed to showcase AI driven features. One of those adds the Wisescreen sensor, which originally combines a sensor in its frame and an infrared sensor in the front-facing camera. For instance, when the owner of the Honor Magic picks up the phone, the frame sensor and the camera are supposed to recognize the owner’s hand and eyes, which then eventually turns on the screen. When the phone is put down by the owner, or put away from a pocket, the same screen is supposed to turn off in just 0.1 seconds.
The new smartphone also gets with it another feature called FaceCode Intelligent Recognition. Any message notifications on the phone will only reveal themselves for pre-registered faces. That means you shouldn’t be worry about anyone picking your phone and seeing your private messages that they are no suppose to see. Like these, there are still many AI-driven features that will be offered as part of the phone, via Honor Magic Live.
