The Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer HTC has officially launched a mid-range device into the market, the Desire 728 Dual SIM.
The HTC’s new smartphone will be available via major offline retailers next week and it comes in White Luxury and Purple Myst. The announcement happened after launching Desire 829 Dual SIM and One A9 in the country last month. On Friday, HTC has kicked off the Desire 728 Dual SIM.
China was first region to get Desire 728 smartphone, which was announced in September last year. With 5.5-inch HD (720p) IPS display, the phone is equipped with a 1.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can further expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB).
Other specifications include 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, but only integrated with 5MP of front-facing shooter, instead of 8-megapixel Selfie-focused found in Chinease variant. On the software front, Desire 728 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and the connectivity options go by with the support for 4G LTE TDD bands for Indain networks, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, Micro-USB.
Battery department on Desire 728 smartphone, you will find a 2800mAh unit that can offer up to 21 hours of talktime and up to 485 hours of standby time in 3G. Most importantly, it is one of those HTC smartphones come with official BoomSound technology, which is probably complemented by Dolby Audio as well.
Priced at INR 17,990 ($269), which could be a bit expensive when compared to best smartphones under Rs 15,000. Consider HTC Desire 728 specs vs OnePlus X, the newly launched Lenovo K4 Note and the Vibe S1.
