Huawei Enjoy 5 Announced: How Better It Can Compete With 13MP Cam, 4G LTE, 4000mAh Battery

Huawei has introduced a new smartphone in its Enjoy series, rather than an updated model in Honor lineup, which was always expected that the Chinese manufacturer is going to launch Honor Play 5X. Impressively, this time around launched Huawei Enjoy 5 in China. Priced at RMB 999 (roughly INR 10,196). Details on the go right below.

In brief the new Enjoy 5 smartphone has a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720px IPS setup. On the software front, the Huawei’s new Enjoy 5 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom Emotions UI 3.1 skin on top. Under the hood of the hardware it is powered by a MediaTek MT7635 chip clocked in at 1.3GHz Quad-Core 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU for better graphics.

The Huawei Enjoy 5 is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that too expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. What’s interesting inside the phone’s camera segment is that it sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision BSI sensor, 28mm wide-angle lens, 6P lenses, and a 5MP front-facing shooter.

In order to play with the new Enjoy 5, Huawei is also offering a Dual SIM slot with support for 4G LTE TDD-LTE B38 / B39 / B40 / B41 and FDD-LTE: B1 / B3 connectivity. Battery package you will find on the new Huawei Enjoy 5 is of 4000mAh capacity with power saving technology to extend the life up to 24 hours even when it got 10% of backup and also promises to deliver up to 3.75 days of life with average usage and up to 2 days of battery even with heavy use. The phone is also capable of reverse charging, which is said to deliver 10-12 days of standby time.

The Enjoy 5 manages to weigh about 160 grams despite a large battery. Overall phone measurement is 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7 mm.

The Huawei Enjoy 5 comes in Grey, Gold and White colors and for the China version it costs $141(Yuan 899) and full network version $157. It is now available to pre-order through email and will go on sale in Chinese market starting October 16th. No official word it global iteration as yet.
