Huawei Honor 5A Is Now Official: Announced With 5.5-Inch HD Display, 4G VoLTE, 3100mAh Battery And More

The Huawei Honor 5A has officially made its way into the China market today, as the latest budget smartphone in Honor series. The new Honor 5A smartphone is now available to order through Vmall and will go on sale from June 17th. Have a look at what the newly released Honor 5A specs, price and retail date go by.

First of all, Huawei has unveiled the Honor 5A smartphone in China, as promised. It comes in Black, White, Blue and Gold colors. Details a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels 178-degree viewing angle, 1000:1 contrast ratio, tempered glass protection. Under-the-hood, the standard version of Honor 5A is powered by a 1.2GHz Octa-Core Kirin 620 processor with Mali 450 GPU and the China Unicom model gets Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 (4×1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU.

Both the Honor 5A models coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.1 skin on top, out-of-the-box. On the photography front, this smartphone carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony/OmniVision sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 28mm wide-angle lens. Secondary, it sports an 8MP front facing camera, Sony/Hynix BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 27mm wide-angle 4P lens for selfies.

Dimensions of the Honor 5A is like this, it measures in at 154.3×77.1×8.45mm and weighs 168 grams. It comes with a Dual SIM offering, supports 4G VoLTE connectivity, alongside WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS and it also has equipped with 3D patterns on the back. Finally, the battery package on the Honor 5A, you’ll be getting a 3100mAh unit (typical) and 3000mAh (minimum) lithium polymer battery on-board.

The standard model of the Huawei Honor 5A is priced at 699 Yuan (US$ 108 / Rs. 7130) and for the China Unicom version, it will set you back at 799 Yuan, ($121 / INR 8150 approximately).
