Huawei, the China-based manufacturer has introduced two of its new Android smartphones as 2016 flaghsips in partnership with German camera-maker Leica. It was a speculation and was in discussions that Apple would use a dual-lens camera module in its September-bound iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, but before that unveil, Huawei made it happen. Dual-camera smartphones have been a very hot topic recently, and finally today, it became a reality. The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus smartphones are here to challenge iPhone maker and South Korean electronics.

Huawei clearly wants to get ahead of the curve, and has subsequently launched the P9 and P9 Plus Android-powered handsets that comes equipped with a Leica provided dual-camera lens system.

Huawei P9 Specifications
This is the smaller of the two new devices, while the Huawi P9 features a 5.2-inch IPS lCD display, serving up to 1920-by-1080 pixel resolution. The hardware keys ships with a 64-bit Kirin 955 Octa-Core processor and is paired up with an accompanying 3GB of RAM inside the 32GB model, or 4GB for those looking to opt for the 64GB variant. On the back of the gadget, there is a setup pf dual-lens 12-megapixel camera system. For selfie purposes, still gets a sharp 8MP module in place on the front. The P9 Plus is the big brother in the two new phones, with a larger 5.5-inch AMOLED panel it comes with a sreen resolution of 1920 x 1080. It is as well coupled with 64GB internal storage configuration, which is complemented with 4GB of RAM. Under the hood of the phone is the Kirin 955 CPU, same as the one found in smaller P9 variant. Battery capacity is measured in at 3,400mAh which should easily suffice for most power users.
Alternatively, the P9 Plus like P9 packs an IR blaster, 3D fingerprint sensor, 8-mgapixel front-facing camera, and a dual-lens 12MP camera on the rear. For pricing, the 3GB P9 costs €599, while the larger 4GB version costs €649. The 5.5-inch P9 Plus carry Super AMOLED display is priced at €749.
All models that include Huawei P9 and P9 Plus will be available to purchase from April 16th.
