It’s now official, InFocus has launched a new era of its smartphone called Epic with the introduction of InFocus Epic 1 in India. Here is everything you need to know about the latest smartphone announced today, which is priced at Rs. 12,999 and will go on sale via Amazon India exclusively.
InFocus Epic 1 Specifications
It was a year ego when US-based InFocus entered into the Indian smartphone market, it had the attention of consumers and investors alike because of the brand which it brings in with its projection. First attempt made with the availability of InFocus M2 at a very low-price tag of Rs. 4999, but got most of the features. later InFocus continued to iterate a variety of smartphones in high-end and budget-friendly manner, which was a mixed bag and hits and misses. With today’s announcement of its foremost flagship with deca-core processor, the Epic 1 has finally been launched into the market at an impressive price tag.
The American company seems to have further improved on the looks department, as the InFocus Epic 1 gets 5.5-inch Full HD offering with narrow bezels on top and bottom. And the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p the device’s has built-in LTPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Although the Epic 1 has a larger display, which makes it smooth ride with a responsive touch and good viewing angles.
Processor / RAM
The InFocus Epic 1 has just moved from an octa-core and jumped with a MediaTek Helio X20 Deca-Core processor that is paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, but on the other hand, the hybrid tray can either let you house a second SIM or get more memory, that lets you either use two SIM cards or one SIM and one microSD card.
The newly launched Epic 1 smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with InLife UI 2.0 skin on top. Is a dual-SIM smartphone with Hybrid card slot. There’s a 360-degree fingerprint reader on its back that unlocks the phone in just 0.1 seconds.
In terms of that the smartphone Epic 1 features a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, Auto Image Stabilization, Object Tracking, and is complemented with a rear flash. For selfies, the Epic 1 also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture, but doesn’t come with a front flash for selfie shooter, rather it gets a dual-tone flash on its back.
The InFocus Epic 1 supports 4G LTE with VoLTE HD calls, that also comes with the Reliance Jio Welcome Offer that is valid till December 2016. Has OTG support, Bluetooth, WiFi and the USB Type-C port with fast charging capabilities.

The InFocus Epic 1 packs a 3000mAh battery and will be available to purchase in Gold color starting from October 25th.

InFocus Epic 1 is one of those smartphones can compete with the like of Coolpad Note 5, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeEco Le 2. At rS. 12,999, Epic 1 is one such handset coming with a 10-core processing unit.
