Are we going to see the unveil of OnePlus 3 on April 7? The successor to the last year’s OnePlus 2 smartphone? Aka codenamed OnePlus A3000? These are some of the questions we really can’t get a perfect answer to. You may seen some recent stories claiming that the launch is going down on 7th of next month, which unfortunately not happening. OnePlus, the Chinese manufacturer has apparently confirmed that the date which they choosen is for an event and not to introduce its 2017 flagship killer. When you have a new smartphone on the horizon, leaks are playing an important role in all sorts to accepted fact of life. Catch up to keep an eye for unknown devices popping up in the results created by benchmark software, here. Say hello to the OnePlus 3.
Now, because we know a bit that OnePlus is indeed very likely to release a new flagship smartphone within the next few months – in the second quarter, according to OnePlus founder Carl Pei – written in stone. Alleged sighting of an unknown “OnePlus A3000” in the results offered a popular benchmarking tool AnTuTu Benchmark, suggesting that the device is in fact the OnePlus 3. April 7 event is purely focused on the China market, and said these words by the company itself that will not be launching out next device then.
Naturally, we didn’t get any firther details on the official OnePlus 3 release date or the key specifications currently, but it was said that “the only thing we can confirm is that [it] will be an awesome product“. Classic OnePlus!
The designations certainly line up fairly well with what we would expect from OnePlus for its A3000 (or else OnePlus 3). The results allegedly leaked includes a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage and while a full-HD (FHD) 1080p screen is also mentioned, the 16MP camera and will come with expandable microSD card slot. Could also equipped with a Hybrid Dual-SIM support and may have a 5-inch display and no details on the battery package or capacity has been revealed at the moment.
Rumored OnePlus 3 Specs:
- 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD display
- Snapdragon 820 64-bit Quad-Core processor with Adreno 530 GPU
- 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB internal storage
- Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Oxygen OS
- Dual SIM

- 8MP front-facing camera
- Fingerprint scanner
- 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C
The benchmarks also list an 8MP front-facing shooter, but unknown whether that means the device takes advantage of a dual-camera system or that both the front and 16MP rear camera are listed. For better confirmation, we need a little more information by the way. Pei has already said that the OnePlus 3 will see a more traditional sales process than in past years, and the handset will still be sold as an unlocked variant via OnePlus itself.
